Isolated Tracks

Isolated Tracks got its name from two things:
We have all seen railroad tracks that are no longer connected to anything. Just sitting all by themselves, never to be connected again. Most will out-live their surroundings.

Musical scores are made up of "tracks" of music. These musical tracks here are not connected to their visual counterpart. Just the musical tracks are presented... Isolated Tracks.

Most music composed for film or video will be of various lengths, differing emotions and different tempos. I have produced music that is just seconds long. Consider that a TV commercial is just 30 seconds long and the average pop song on the radio is around 3 to 4 mins. For film, sometimes over 2 hours of differing material is needed.

Themes created for characters or movies are even altered throughout the movie to match the length and impact of differing scenes. Other music can be transitioning music from one scene to another.

Music is created to go underneath speech, enhance effects, and some is meant to stand out on its own. Most music is written with a time signature, a beat or a count. Examples would be 3/4 or 4/4, however, the music produced for film speeds up and slows down depending on movement, action and emotion, it can break the time signature right down to the frame.

The tracks presented here vary in length and movement to match their particular scenes.

Track 1 The Red Tapes Theme
Here is the theme music for the series “The Red Tapes”. Production was halted do to injury. This was the promotional opener. The video that accompanied the theme music is used as an example. See how the music fits the scene.
Track 2 Hope Ignites
The scene here is a struggling people climbing the dark side of a mountain, just as they reach the top, the sunrises and shows them the valley below and its answers.
Track 3 Escaping the Trap
Realizing they are walking into a trap, the couple turns, runs and tries to find a different way out.
Track 4 Lone Figure Skater

Track 19 On The Move
Looking out the window of a car, on an exciting trip to a new place.
Track 20 Trailing Close Behind
They are following close behind the culprit to gain knowledge, without him knowing it.

High-Fidelity Recording
This would generally symbolize a cleaner, crisper, recording of the music. It would also symbolize the difference between the loudest and quietest instruments in the music. Hearing all of the distinct little sounds, voices and effects while riding down the road is impossible. To hear the best of these recordings, use a reasonable stereo system or buds.

Veltron Journey

Veltron Journey is a collection of tracks that create, using music,  the different movements of the rhythm of life. About breathing in a better connection to life's natural events and our actions. The collection explores the dynamics of interaction between one and another. The music here also uses satire to help visualize our judgments.

The rain storm heard on Crystal Journey cannot be experienced without a good listen.

Blistering Consonance

Why? A fast moving and loud symphony? A slow moving and quiet symphony? A combination of electric and acoustic sounds? (Definitions for these words are at the bottom)

Music for Electric Guitar and Real (or Electric) Orchestra

Why? Music written for exciting High School or Small College performances. It can accommodate any combination of electric guitar, keyboard or acoustic instruments.

There is often a separation of the people between orchestral and rock music. When I was younger, people who listened to or played classical music weren’t cool enough for me. Putting the radio on a classical station was viewed as a punishable musical crime.

As I began studying orchestra in Jr High, my musical tastes began to widen up. Soon I was disturbed that my rock friends would never break code and listen to a symphony, then soon I noticed my classical music friends would say that pop music was useless because it was too easy to play

My dilemma was simple, find a way to give equal justice to the Guitar Hero, the Flute Hero, the Oboe and String Hero, etc. of the school, in one performance. The answer turned out to be writing my own simple arrangement.

Many great musical pieces have been written for guitar and orchestra, so what makes Blistering Consonance different?

It’s easy to learn- A High School or Small College Orchestra can master this in just a few weeks.

It’s fun, loud and moving- It will get strong reactions from the crowd of both classical and rock listeners.

Its four movements last about 10 mins total- Only a little more than twice the length of pop tune, but close to the length of some symphonic movements. A great opener or concert final for parents and kids to enjoy and look forward to.

The instrument layout can change- Use a trumpet instead of a flute, etc. Use a trombone section instead of a string section, etc. Use strings for some of the picking sounds instead of guitar, etc. Use electronic keyboard for parts that you don’t have real instruments for.

Experiment with percussion- The music is written so both percussion and/or a drum set will work.

Add additional parts to fit your orchestra any time- There is no copyright infringement!

It’s hard to pronounce- Of course it is, like any other symphony.
Sheet music is available for any orchestra free of charge.
